Trouble brewing in the Indian team is the new topic of discussion today. Things aren’t right between coach Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli.  As a result, the Kohli-Kumble saga finally came to an end this Tuesday, resulting in Anil Kumble stepping down from the post of the head coach of the Indian cricket team in a meeting held the evening.

His exit came as shocking news for cricket fans due to his reputation as a cricketer. In his one-year tenure, he sincerely performed his duties as a coach. Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli’s dispute with Anil Kumble took an ugly turn after he deleted a tweet from 2016 wherein he welcomed him the team, this Wednesday.

The rumors said that Virat Kohli was not happy with the coaching style of Kumble. However, Kohli wasn’t available for any comments. The situation was so worse that the skipper and the coach did not speak for the last six months. Finally, on Thursday, ahead of the first match against West Indies which is scheduled on June 23, Kohli has finally broken his silence on the ongoing spat with Anil Kumble.

The BCCI (BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA) tried to solve the clash between the two with no positive outcome

In his statement, Virat Kohli openly said that he respects Kumble’s decision of stepping down from his post.

He further added “We have created a culture over the last 3-4 years that whatever happens in the change room, we’ve tried to maintain the sanctity of the change room throughout. It’s his opinion which I respect. I have total respect for him as a cricketer and what he’s achieved for the nation. All the years that he’s played. That’s no taking away that aspect of him at all. And we all respect him totally.”

Now the BCCI is looking for the replacement for the post of the head coach of the Indian cricket team. The new coach for the world’s number one Test team will be decided by the three-man advisory committee of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman. Even though Kohli has no role in the selection, BCCI wants the next coach to get along with him.

We hope that BCCI’s decision will be in the interest of the Indian cricket team. We sincerely wish that the team delivers best performance in the upcoming match.
