BJP Minister Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate three national highway projects worth Rs. 5,379 crore in Rajasthan; despite Congress govt. ruling the state

The BJP government has bestowed the country with a host of developments in the last four years. There is no dearth of development in this period. Starting from Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, Digital India, Make-in-India, Skill India, Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, and other fruitful schemes, the government has done its bit to improvise the dynamics of the country.

Likewise, the previous Rajasthan government had introduced various schemes like Bhamashah Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Yojana or Annapurna Rasoi Yojana and the likes. Although the government is no more in power, the sequence of benefits has not disappeared just yet. The Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is a BJP minister are all out there to build infrastructure for the people of Rajasthan.

He will soon inaugurate three national highway projects worth Rs. 5,379 crore and lay the foundation stones for three others in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He will be arriving in the state on Saturday.

The projects include widening of Dangiyavas-Keru-Nagaur section of Jodhpur Ring Road, Gagariya-Bawri Kalan-Sedwa-Bakhasar section of National Highway-925, Sata-Gandhav section of NH-925A, and Munabav-Sundra-Myajlar-Dhanana-Asutar-Ghotaru-Tanot section of NH-70. It will also include widening of Jaisalmer-Barmer section of NH-68, Barmer-Sanchor-Gujarat Border (up to Gandhav Bridge) section of NH-68 and Falodi-Jaisalmer section of NH-15 (New NH-11).

The projects will cost the central government a whopping Rs. 3,631.20 crores. “These projects have a total length of 545.456 km and involve a cost of Rs. 3,631.20 crore,” a government statement read.

“The projects will contribute towards economic upliftment of western Rajasthan, improve the security scenario with better connectivity with border areas, and improve connectivity between districts, tehsils and villages,” the government said.

Here are other projects which the Modi-led government have successfully completed in their tenure.

  • Six Dedicated Freight Corridors of 9,485 Kms length completed within the stipulated time.
  • Additional 31 Airports, added to the existing 134 Airports (International + Domestic) got completed efficiently.
  • The 15,945 MW Hydro Electric Power projects in J&K & in the North-East is another project which was completed timely.
  • As many as 15 New proposed & approved Rail Links of 4,440 Km length – these projects commenced & got completed in a timely manner.
