Towards the end of the speech, Rahul Gandhi said to PM Narendra Modi and BJP that “You may call me Pappu, but I don’t hate you. I will take out this hatred out of you and turn it into love. I am the Congress” After this, he went across to Modi and walked across to embrace him. This unexpected gesture of Gandhi put the entire country in the shock. In fact, it didn’t end here. After hug Gandhi was moving back but PM Modi called him back and shook hand with his political rival. Later, he went to his seat and winked his fellow Congress MP.

This gesture of Gandhi was not liked by speaker Sumitra Mahajan. She said to 47 year-old Congress President, “There is some decorum of the house. (PM Modi) was sitting in the prime minister’s seat. I did not like it.” She also called the conduct against the rules of the House.
