Two days back, the congress party was drenched in the celebrations of the Rajasthan state president Sachin Pilot’s birthday. On the auspicious occasion, the party members decided to organise a blood donation camp and help the needy. Not just this on 7th September, (Sachin Pilot’s Birthday) various organizations in the city came forward to join to this campaign and helped the party people in organising various plantation and blood donation camp. What a good thought? What could have been a better way of celebrating a president’s birthday? But is that all how pleasant it seems to be? NO. This was mere publicity, and nothing more than that. Congress as usual used this to fetch people’s attention and win hearts as everyone know the elections are approaching. So what exactly happened? We will tell you today.
390 units of blood was said to be collected in the blood camp that was organised at the Hanuman Vatika located in Banad. To publicise the event and to attract more donors, the congress party invited all the big leaders and arranged a photo session with the donors and why not? As they say, ‘A big fish is only caught with big bait’. The real truth of their ‘camp’ came out when the media inquired about the number of units that were donated and the actual number of units that reached the blood banks in the name of helping the needy. After the end of the blood camp, the congress party announced that a total of 390 units have been collected but the actual truth was that only 58 units were collected. The party said that the collected blood will be distributed to 5 blood banks in the city. The surprising thing is that the blood banks completely denied of having received such a huge number of units.
Director of Paras Blood Bank, S.R. Mehta informed that their blood bank has only received 21 units of blood. Whereas director of Ambika Blood Bank, Dr. Deepak Shrivastava said that they have received only 22 units. Similarly in charge of MGH blood bank, Rajshree informed that their blood bank has received only 1 unit. Like these, blood bank at Umaid Hospital and MDMC blood bank received 8 units respectively.
‘Mahadan’ or merely a show-off?
The coordinator of the blood group was Sohanlal Gujjar. He was the one who released this photo where some congress leaders are seen donating blood. Some congress leaders were clicked only to keep a record that they were actually present on the occasion of the birthday celebration of the state president’s birthday. District president Hanuman Khoja said that on 39th birthday of Sachin pilot we have collected 390 units of blood at the camp. But the truth was, after the camp when the needy reached at the various blood banks in the city to seek help, they didn’t get it. They were not provided with the help, because the blood banks didn’t have sufficient blood to help them with. People then started inquiring about those 390 units that were recently delivered to the hospitals and blood banks. Then they came to know the actual truth. In such conditions they were only left to wander from one blood bank to another, but all in vain.
The truth is out and the people are angry. They want to know why Congress claimed 390 units when only 58 were donated and distributed to the blood banks. Why were there such fake claims? Why did the party publicise the event so much? What is the real truth of this ‘blood bank scam’? Why are they [laying politics and trying to trap the innocents? Why are false promises made to the people? Why isn’t needy given timely help?
Well, the ultimate answer to many such questions could be just these three magical words, ‘Assembly Elections 2018’.
