Delhi Ashamed Man bleeds to death after hit-and-run

In a shocking road accident, a 32 year old was run down by a fright delivery van on Thursday Morning in West Delhi’s Subhash Nagar area. In the unfortunate accident that happened, humanity of the people of Delhi tore apart. People came and went by the injured person but no one bothered to either pay attention at the man, or to take him to the nearby hospital. The injured was by profession a security guard. He was badly injured after being hit by a delivery van. The sadder part of the incident was that no one came to the rescue of the man despite several passes by seeing him dying in pain and one of them (a rickshaw puller) went near to him, but only to take away his mobile phone and rather not to help him.

The entire accident was captured on the CCTV camera. The security guard, named Matbool who was a resident of West Bengal, was returning to his place of residence in Delhi early morning around 05:00 am after finishing his shift when he met the accident.

“The deceased has been identified as Matbool, a resident of West Bengal. He was hit by an auto rickshaw (freight) from behind,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Pushpendra Kumar told IANS.
“We contacted his colleagues at the company where he worked as a guard. They told us that Matibool had completed his night shift and left for home around 5am,” said an officer.

Police came to know about the incident around 07:00 in the morning but by then it was too late.

“The tempo driver got off his vehicle immediately to take a look at the injured man. But instead of taking him to a hospital, he got back into his tempo and drove away. Most people who might have seen Matibool on the road may have ignored him for a drunk,” the officer added.
“He was declared brought dead in the hospital,” the officer said, adding, “We are looking for the auto driver, whose visuals have been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the area.”

“We have formed a team to identify the killer tempo driver and arrest him. Efforts are also on to identify the rickshaw puller who took away Matibool’s mobile phone,” the officer said.
