Avicii, the popular Swedish DJ who brought a boom in EDM was found dead in Oman on Friday. He was just 28. The news has left his family devastated and his fans shocked. Although the cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s a known fact that the artist struggled with health issues because of excessive consumption of alcohol.
As soon as the news broke out, many Bollywood and international singers tweeted about Avicii. Here are a few of them:

Born as Tim Bergling, the artist was among the first few DJs who brought electronic dance music to the mainstream. He gained fame as a lead performer in international hits much like other DJ-Producers namely David Guetta, Calvin Harris, and so on. He also collaborated with Coldplay to produce hits namely “A Sky Full of Stars” and “Hymn for the Weekend”.
Avicii was nominated for two Grammy awards and two MTV Europe Music Awards. In fact, a few days before his death he was nominated for 2018 Billboard Music Award. Interestingly, he started producing at the age of 16 and by the age of 18, he began touring the world.
He even collaborated with Indian singer Sonu Nigam for an album titled “Indian Levels”. Back then, Sonu Nigam admitted that he had no idea as to how famous Avicii was among the youth and praised him for his work. Some of the international hits of Avicii include “Wake Me Up” and “Le7els”.
In the past, Avicii suffered from acute pancreatitis after which he had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014. He took a break from touring in 2016 but continued making music in the studio. His fans were hopeful that he would return to the stage soon.
Last year, he posted a message on his website that read:
“The next stage will be all about my love of making music to you guys. It’s the beginning of something new.”
