Enjoying Rajasthan government’s attention in last few years, the infrastructure of Jodhpur is progressing at a fast pace. The ‘Blue City’ gradually paves way for development in key sectors of growth including education, housing, recreation, education, safety, industry, commercial and entrepreneurship opportunities. In time, premier institutes like NIFT, NLU and IIT, Pachpadra’s new petrochemical complex and improved infrastructure of residential and commercial regions like Benar Road, Pal Road, Nagaur Road and Barmer Road have drawn public attention to the neglected, parched regions of traditional sun City. This republic day, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje announced government development schemes in Jodhpur to boost its aesthetic appearance. The projects worth Rs 778 crore will give new wings to the fast-booming appearance of the city.

CM’s Schemes will Ensure All-Round Development in Jodhpur

The CM plans to beautify Gaushala Maidan and its surrounding regions to project it as a healthy recreation area. Keeping this in mind, the government has announced the following developmental schemes for Gaushala Maidan in Jodhpur.

  • Children’s Park having synthetic tracks and synthetic play area: Rs 5 crore,
  • 6 shelter homes: Rs 1.32 crores,
  • LED street lights for the streets: Rs 45 crores,
  • ‘Akshay Jal’ ATM for clean drinking water,
  • 5 Annapurna Rasoi vans serving subsidized meals for the needy,
  • Waste to Power treatment plant for producing power from waste: Rs 100 crores,
  • Multi-purpose building at Chenpura,
  • Administrative building for Kudi Police station and ‘Wall of Kindness’ under Deendayal Upadhyay scheme.

Affordable Housing Under Mukyamantri Jan Awas Yojana

Owing to the rapid development of infrastructure, the price of residential property is increasing manifold. Consequently, the middle and the lower class families find it hard to cope with the increasing costs of construction. The dream of owning a personal house in the well-settled region seems out of reach. To grant the wish of an average man, CM Raje announced a mega-housing project in Badli under Mukhyamantri Jan Awas Yojana.

Dedicated Departments for MDM Hospital

Rising pollution, change in global climate and excess toxins present in our food and surrounding environment give rise to multiple diseases and disorders. To ensure sound health for Jaipur natives, CM Vasundhara Raje announced dedicated departments for treatment and diagnosis.

  • Research and diagnostic facilities for bone and eye diseases, medicine, surgery and radio diagnosis and OPD (Rs 20 crores),
  • General wards and hostels with 750 beds (Rs 24.24 crores),
  • Super-specialty ward for Neurology, Gastro-enterology, Nephrology, Haematology (Rs 14 crore),
  • Kamla Nehru centre for chest diseases (11.42 crores) and general ward with 150 beds,
  • Panchkarm building for Dr. Sarvpalli Radhakrishnana centre for Ayurveda (Rs 2.81 crores).

In addition to these, CM Raje also introduced development projects in Jodhpur targeting safe drinking water (285 crores) in Surpura, rehabilitation centre for women and children (Rs 7.50 crores) and filter plant at Sagar (Rs 85 crores).

CM Raje lauded the energetic youngsters of Jainarayan Vyas University for their active contribution in youth-oriented social activities. On this occasion, the CM inaugurated the new office for the student union, wherein the NCC cadets can vigorously participate in social activities.

With these latest developments, Jodhpur looks forward to a bright and progressive future.
