This Thursday, district Jodhpur collector Vishnu Charan Malik signed a MoU on behalf of the Rajasthan government with Sunil Kulwal (SBU Head, Ultratech Cement) and Arvind Thanvi (Chief Mentor, Moini Foundation), the representatives of Project Utkarsh for introducing smart classes in Rajasthan government schools. The MoU was signed in the presence of CM Raje– a patron of smart digital solutions in the present-day world.

Project Utkarsh is a quiz-based learning system within smart classes where kids can ‘learn, play and grow together’. This advanced academic scheme aims at delivering basic concepts of complex subjects using simple solutions like e-books, 3-D animations and video lectures.

With the signing of this agreement, 309 government schools in Jodhpur districts will be modified to accommodate ICT labs and e-learning classes. 103 schools of Jodhpur district have benefitted from Utkarsh smart classes.  The students receiving instructions via e-classes were present on the occasion. The CM took this opportunity to question the students regarding their lessons. Needless to say, the smart classes received an overwhelming response by the students.

In the second phase, 206 new government schools have been selected for these reforms. After the MoU signing ceremony, CM Raje felicitated Bhavna Bhati, a class XI student at Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Mahamandir. Bhavna received first prize for her slogan poster ‘Nasha Chhodo, Ghar ko Jodo’ (Quit addiction, save your homes). She encouraged the schools to organise healthy events and competitions at district-level where students can express their academic as well as extra co-curricular talents. This is essential for their all-round development.
