Indian Roommate stabs Hyderabad techie in Texas

A Hyderabad techie was murdered by one of his flatmates in Austin, Texas, in the United States, late on 18th July 2016 night.

The deceased is identified as Sankirth, born in Kacheguda in Hyderabad. He was found dead in his apartment. His roommate 27-year-old Sai Sandeep Goud Kurremula, who also hailed from Hyderabad, had stabbed Sankirth to death.

The US police officials have detained Sandeep and are questioning him to know about the reason of murder.

Sankirth’s uncle, G. Sudhakar, had expressed grief over the whole incident and said that the mortal remains of the Hyderabad techie murdered would be brought to his birthplace for last rites.

It has been reported that the accused, 27-year-old Sai Sandeep Goud Kurremula, used to work for a firm in the US. He has been charged with first-degree murder on the police website of Austin Police Department. Sandeep had moved into Sankirth’s room a fortnight ago. The third roommate Praneeth told the media that a casual quarrel between Sankirth and Sandeep was the reason behind the latter’s murder. Praneeth told the police that he was in another room and came rushing after hearing some noises from Sankirth’s room. By the time, Sandeep had stabbed Sankirth.

“Sankirth was in the United States for his Masters in Science Program from the past two and half years. He went there on an H1B visa which he had received through a draw system before and was also doing a job. He used to stay with a friend. After 15 days, a new student naming Sai Sandeep Goud joined them. He came through consultancy. All of them were staying peacefully until this incident happened,” Sudhakar said.

Hyderabad Techie was stabbed in the abdomen, after which he was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
