ISRO’s Second Attempt to Land on Moon a Success, China, NASA, and Others Congratulate India

The successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 has been met with widespread international acclaim, with foreign media outlets and space agencies from around the world congratulating India on its achievement. The Chinese newspaper Global Times published an article on the launch, calling it a “major milestone” for India’s space program. The article said that Chandrayaan-3 would “further strengthen India’s position as a space power.”

NASA also congratulated India on the launch, saying that it was “looking forward to the results” of the mission.

The US space agency said that Chandrayaan-3 would “help us to better understand the Moon and its history.” The launch of Chandrayaan-3 was a historic moment for India, as it marked the country’s second attempt to land a spacecraft on the moon. The first attempt, Chandrayaan-2, was launched in 2019, but the lander failed to touch down on the lunar surface.

Chandrayaan-3 is carrying a lander and a rover. The lander will touch down on the moon’s surface in the South Pole region, while the rover will explore the lunar surface. The mission is expected to last for one lunar day, which is about 14 Earth days. The ISRO has said that Chandrayaan-3 will help scientists to better understand the moon’s formation and evolution. The mission will also collect data on the moon’s resources, such as water ice.
