Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khattar are expected to reach Udaipur, Rajasthan soon. As per the reports, the two actors are likely to arrive in the city to shoot for their upcoming movie, which is likely to commence from November 18.
Talking about the movie in question, it’s a Dharma Production by filmmaker Karan Johar who is going to cast Sri Devi’s daughter Jhanvi and Shahid’s brother Ishaan Khattar in the lead roles. The two actors are reportedly going to make their Bollywood debut with this upcoming flick. If reports are to be believed Hotel Radisson Blu has already been booked for the shoot.
The movie which is going to launch the two actors is believed to be a remake of the Marathi film Sairat that gained a lot of positive response from the audience. The song Zingaat became quite a hit number across India despite its Marathi lyrics.
Coming back to the remake, Ishaan is going to play the role of a Dalit boy who falls in love with a Brahmin girl, played by Jhanvi. It will be a love story that will showcase the restrictions posed by the caste system of the society. The scenes filmed in Udaipur would include both rural as well as urban parts of Udaipur. It will go on for 40 days, starting from November 18.
Interestingly, Udaipur has always been a center of attraction for many movie stars as well as TV shows. Whether it’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani or Ram Leela, Udaipur has served as a picturesque element for various stories on screen. Even Hollywood flicks like Octopussy and British Television Series “The Jewel in the Crown” were shot in the lake city.
