Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader accused Pakistan of instigating violence in Jammu and Kashmir and straightforwardly hit out at it on Wednesday. He asserted that Kashmir and every issue related to the region is India’s internal matter thus any interference of Pakistan is strongly condemned.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “I disagree with this government on many issues. But, let me make this absolutely clear: Kashmir is India’s internal issue and there is no room for Pakistan or any other foreign country to interfere in it,”

He further added, “There is violence in Jammu and Kashmir. There is violence because it is instigated and supported by Pakistan which is known to be the prime supporter of terrorism across the world,”

Moments later, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, tweeted endorsing Rahulroor is currently facing criticism for apparently praising the government. MP Shashi Tharoor wrote on Twitter, “Spot on, Chief! This is what @INCIndia has insisted all along: J&K is an integral part of India; we opposed the manner in which Art.370 was abrogated because the way it was done assaulted our Constitution& democratic values. No reason for Pak to draw any comfort from our stand,”

All this started after Shireen Mazari, Pakistani Minister for Human Rights wrote a letter on Tuesday to 18 UN Special Procedures mandate on Kashmir issue in which Mazari Rahul Gandhi has noted that people are dying in Jammu Kashmir.

Mazari in her letter to the UN body, which is also posted on her Twitter, she wrote while also quoting Rahul Gandhi. ” …acts of violence have even been acknowledged by mainstream politicians, such as the Leader of the Congress Party, Mr Rahul Gandhi who has noted “people dying” in Jammu and Kashmir, in light of events “going very wrong there”.
