In order to create a World Record, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor will be attempting to cook 800kgs of Khichdi the India Gate Lawns. The event will take place on 4th November, 2017. This seems to be a big attempt for unifying India. The event will take place on one of the days in a three-day ‘World Food India’. Assumptions were being made that Khichdi will be declared as National Food after this event.
In fact, there is a lot of buzz on social platform about khichdi but the tweet by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Harsimrat Kaur Badal cleared all the doubts about making khichdi a national food. She tweeted,

Well.. this is enough to understand that what she wants to say. It is now clear that Khichdi is entry at the World Food India and it will be promoted as ‘Brand India Food’ during this ‘World Food India’ event.
This event is organized the Ministry of Food Processing Industries to explore opportunities for growth in the food processing sector for leading Indian and international companies. This event will definitely help in promoting Indian cuisines internationally.
