The extravagant Lakme Fashion Week 2017 is a congregation of august designers with classic aesthetics and to-die for patterns. From what could have been a general fashion week, this one has got everything to make it stand apart – bling, glitz, inspired international styles, regal colors and sensational cuts and what’s more? It’s such a celeb-studded affair.
Manish Malhotra aced the fashion game through his muses like Sridevi and her daughter Khushi, while his showstoppers Jacqueline Fernandes and Aditya Roy Kapoor stole the show. While the Srilankan beauty was adorned in a black sheer dress ornated with floral motifs, Kapoor was wearing a fitted black suit with a dash of shimmer in it.
Disha Patani, Nargis Fakhri, Illeana D’Cruz, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline, Vaani Kapoor, Bhumi and Neha Aggarwal are some of the most talked about female celebrities who staged the ramp for top designers like Manish Malhotra, Anusha Reddy, Wendell Rodricks, Rahul Mishra, Ritu Kumar amongst many others.
While the first day of the festival was drenched in the Disha Patani fervor who got heads turn as the showstopper for Ritu Kumar in a sheer white dress.
The second day gave a huge impetus to colors and classics. The second day started off with the tribal-inspired collection presented by Neha Agarwal, who chose the sultry Chitrangada Singh as her showstopper. The dusky actress flaunted a vibrant gown which was an ode to the Madhubani. The gown was exploded with animal motifs in vibrant hues and patterns. She accessorized the look with a fish-shaped clutch, the cookie-cutter element at the Lakme Fashion Week.
