While you must be missing your shelves lying empty with the 2 minute noodles Maggi, Baba Ramdev has heard your grief and he has a healer to rectify your soaring sadness as well. Baba Ramdev, the owner of “Patanjali Ayurveda” that deals in complete organic food and promises ayurvedic inheritance has come out with their instant noodles to make its place where Maggi used to reign at times. He will soon be launching the instant noodles which claims that it does not contain any taste enhancer MSG and lead. ‘Patanjali Ayurveda’ has knitted hopes to capture the market of instant noodles which has seen a downfall after Maggi to make its way.
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) found excess lead and taste enhancer MSG despite ‘No MSG’ labeling in Maggi and the stock was swept off from the market. The cravings of this tasteful Maggi noodles has haunted many.
While in this race, Baba Ramdev has rolled the ball and came out with the catchphrase for the product “Jhat pat pakao, aur befikr khao,” which resembles Maggi’s ‘two-minute noodles’ and ‘taste bhi, health bhi’ tag lines, the yoga guru claimed it will have ‘no added monosodium glutamate (MSG) and lead’.
As told by Baba Ramdev in the press conference, he said “We will launch Patanjali noodles on October 15. It will be made from whole wheat flour (atta), not like noodles of other companies which are made up of maida and has only 10 per cent atta.”
While Patanjali has been offering many benefits in price, value and health the latter Maggi did not pursue any, according to Baba. It is priced at Rs 15 where Maggi was for Rs 25, the taste maker in Maggi is replaced by health maker.
It was further said by Baba Ramdev where he was raising the flags of swadeshi, he further said, “Patanjali noodles will use rice-bran oil and not cheap and inferior palm oil as used by others.”
“We are working on the principles of swadeshi, where we work for the betterment and health of the country,” he said.
Baba Ramdev who has wide variety of products which are based on Ayurvedic properties and offer health benefits is quite making the mundane market of noodles bit exciting with this new launch. Well, if Baba Ramdev is reinforcing the Swadeshi production, he has made sure that this product is ready for any FSSAI scrutiny.
