Rahul Gandhi’s plane was allegedly denied permission to land at Varanasi’s Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport on Monday, according to the Congress Party.

Ajay Rai, the leader of the Congress, claimed that President Droupadi Murmu’s visit served as an “excuse” for the airport authorities’ refusal to grant permission because they were under pressure.

He claimed that permission was “deliberately” withheld for Rahul Gandhi’s flight, which was supposed to land at Varanasi airport on Monday night.

“Rahul Gandhi was supposed to arrive here and travel from there to Prayagraj, but the airport authority refused to let his plane land because of government pressure. They denied permission and claimed there was heavy aircraft movement and traffic congestion “Rai asserted

The Congressman also claimed that the Varanasi airport did not permit the plane to land because the BJP government is “frightened” of Rahul Gandhi.

“Since Rahul Gandhi led the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the nation’s Prime Minister has been concerned. They are currently bothering Rahul “Added he.

The Congress MP had a Monday night arrival date in Varanasi and was scheduled to pray today at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Notably, President Murmu paid a visit to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Monday evening after praying at the Varanasi temple Kotwal Baba Kaal Bhairav.

The President also attended the large Ganga Aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in the evening during her first trip to Kashi, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s office.
