As Rajasthan is progressing towards a developing state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has confirmed his visit to Rajasthan to inaugurate major road projects and lay foundation stones.

“We have about Rs 15,000 crore of work that is either completed, under construction or will start soon. These are funded by the central government. About Rs 10,000 work are being carried out by the state government on its own. PM will be called to inaugurate as well as lay the foundation stone for some projects,” Yunus Khan, public works minister said.

The idea of calling PM Modi for inaugurating road projects was forwarded by union minister for road, transport, and highways Nitin Gadkari. For the purpose of inviting PM Modi, Raje is expected to fly to Delhi.

The famous ring road project in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota, road connecting Kota-Darrah, Pokhran-Jaisalmer, Jodhpur-Barmer are likely to be inaugurated by PM Modi.

Sources privy to the development also revealed that the Rajasthan government is pushing deadlines to ensure that the projects are completed before PM Modi’s visit.

A slew of projects are underway in Jaipur. From the ambitious Dravyavati project to the Ring road project, Jaipur is treading to become a highly development-oriented state. The unflickering leadership of CM Raje has actually brought about miraculous results in the Desert state.

The projects which were unveiled by Nitin Gadkari in 2014 will not be inaugurated by PM Modi. There is no clarity, however, if NH-8 highway at Jaipur-Gurgaon stretch will be envisaged in the project list.

Rajasthanis are gearing up to welcome Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will be second time PM Modi will visit Rajasthan after assuming office in 2013.
