Rajarani Festival: The Festival of music to start from 18 January

The beauty and culture of Odisha woo people around the world. In the land of Odisha, the festival of Rajarani is being held. The festival is held with an aim to celebrate the traditional music of India. The event is held in the backdrop of 11th century old Rajarani temple in Bhubneswar, capital city of Odisha. The temple is decorated with flower beds, fairy lights and lanterns.

This festival is organized by Odisha Tourism Department in association with many organizations like Bhubneswar Music Circle, Union Ministry of Tourism and NALCO. This festival will start from 18 January and continue till 20 January, 2018. This festival attracts music enthusiasts every year.

Talking about the grandeur of this Rajarani festival, it has lot to offer like as famous vocalists and instrumentalists perform in this fest of music. The musical concerts not only entertain people but also they soothe them.

In this fest, many prestigious artistes like Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Ustaad Abdul Halim Jaffar Khan, Sushri Meeta Pandit, Pandit T. N. Seshagopalan, Ustad Baha-ud-commotion Dagar, Ustad Dilshad Khan, Begam Perween Sultana, Padma Bhusan T. N. Krishnan, Rajan Mishra and Sajan Mishra and many others have performed in this festival.

Rajarani Temple
In the Bhubneswar city, Rajarani Temple is located. This Hindu temple was built in 11th century. This temple is built of yellow and dull red sandstone called Rajarani. This temple has many erotic carvings of couples.
