Rajshri’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Receives Mixed Reviews

Sooraj Barjatiya and Salam Khan turned on the tide in their favor, as newly released Rajshri Productions movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo shatters opening records of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, cumulating first day collection to Rs40.35 crore. Although movie could partially satisfy the critics and bagged a mixed reviews from the critic community.

Starting from the good ones Zee Entertainment reviews for the movie was positive and called it a prefect family entertainer, which comes to audience without any uncomfortable scenes. The music of the film is pleasing for the ears, which came from the bank of Himesh Reshamiya. The cinematography of the movie is something which audience love to watch again and again. The review concluded with a version that ‘go grab a ticket if you can and make merry while ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ song runs in the background!’

However, the views given by the Indian Express says ‘Nothing is a fit in this Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor film.’ It has given one and half star to the movie, arguing a thin script and poor screenplay which drastically fails to connect with the audience and their life. The sets and background displayed in the movie, does not allow viewers to relate themselves with the movie, as not every one of us resides in a grand palaces.

In this movie as such Salman has played double role, during first half Salman is being set up as Prem Diwale (A Ram Bhakt from Ayodhya), as the film advances Prince Vijay also played by Salman comes into the frame, whereas Vijay is engaged with Rajkumari Maithili (Sonam Kapoor). A twist in this family drama comes when Prince Vijay falls into trap set- up by his own younger brother played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, who executes villainous plans for killing Vijay.

The other cast in family oriented movie is played by veteran actor Anupam Kher (As Shahi Dewan), Armaan Kohli (As close friend of Neil Nitin), Swara Bhaskar who is in role of a step sister of Prince Vijay, while another step sister role is carried out by Aashika Bhatia.

Now decision taking a step towards theater is a call which depends on your choice, although I will personally loved to watch the movie, as it had all the family ethics and love.
