Ranbir Kapoor, the style and entertainment icon is all set to play his grandfather Raj Kapoor in his next movie. There have been comparisons between Raj Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor as both are the stars of Bollywood and Indian entertainment industry. Raj Kapoor was famously known as the “Showman” of Bollywood. Ranbir and Raj Kapoor have somewhat similar style and charisma which attracts the viewers and binds them to like their work.

The sources say that a biopic on Raj Kapoor is being planned under the family’s banner RK Films and Ranbir Kapoor would be the perfect actor who can play Raj Kapoor. It is said to be the most cherished and awaited project of Kapoor family as through it, they are also planning to revive RK banner, which is inactive from past few years. Raj sahib’s biopic has been planned for the longest time and the whole Kapoor family is very excited about the project.
In various press conferences, when Ranbir Kapoor was questioned about his grandfather, he always used to adore him. Ranbir has always been fascinated towards the work of Raj Kapoor and being his grandson, he knows him inside-out. The RK banner which is being dormant from many years will now be on the floor with the biopic of its creator. The last movie of this production house was ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ in 1999, which didn’t perform well on the box office. Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, both are of the opinion that Ranbir would be the most apt choice for the movie as he is Bollywood’s heartthrob. Both the Kapoor brothers are in the agreement for the film production.
This movie has already started getting publicity because of the legend Raj Kapoor’s name being associated with it so people can only imagine the situation when it will release. Apparently, everybody would like to watch Ranbir Kapoor in his grandfather Raj Kapoor’s “Japani Shoes” and “Englishtani Pants”. The legends like Raj Kapoor are not born every day and his contribution to Indian cinema is still remembered. This movie will surely be a tribute to him from the Kapoor clan.
