This Republic Day, give a part of you to others in need. See How?

Ours is an incredible country. It is endowed with adequate resources, assets and amenities which are adequate for all my brothers and sisters dwelling in this incredible land. This country has given a plethora of uncountable things and useful commodities for food and healthy living. From shelter to food to clean air and enough water, India has given us enough that we are indebted to the country so much that the maximum we can do is only a fraction of what we have been showered with.

Tomorrow is 26th January. If not on all days, then atleast on one day, we can dedicate ourselves to contributing towards the nation’s pride and prosperity. From watching the National Day Parade to wearing a T-shirt with a tri-coloured print-of sorts or making an extra effort to really know about our country’s history. Here are things you can do tomorrow to observe a Happy 68th Republic Day:

  1. Donate books, clothes and usables to the needy:

For all children who are deprived of basic amenities, suffice their needs and aspirations as much as you can. Becoming a helping hand towards building up their future, will not only make you feel better and empowered but also enrich their lives immensely.  Life should be about giving. And what better a day for giving than Republic Day, which is symbolic of our well-being and longevity as a nation.

  1. Spend time at NGO’s:

We are educated, we are compassionate. There is enough for everybody, but there are still some people in our country who are aloof from basic-rights to life. In an orphanage, a child is deprived of a parents’ love. In an oldage home, grand-parents are isolated from their children and grand-children’s love and affection.

Tomorrow, try and be grateful for what you have, better not be hesitant or reluctant. Give as much has you can to all those. Never mistake to judge these people. They have witnessed and undergone a lot of hardships in life. It might have turned them into stone-hearts. Deep inside, be aware that their good-wishes will be the most powerful.

  1. Respect the nation, it’s flag and spread awareness:

There are only a handful of people who are actually aware about the history behind celebrating days like Republic day and Independence day. 26th January is the day when India’s constitution came into force. It has been a gazetted holiday eversince 1950. We as citizens of India can commute to NGO’s, schools, colleges to abreast as many people as we can about the history of India and all dynamics.

This Republic day, sprinkle your magic of goodness on all those who don’t have even a fraction of what you have.

A very happy Republic Day to all.
