Mr. World has been a title India has been waiting for long. India had participated in every beauty pageant and has won some or the other year. Mr. World has been a contest that Indian has eyes on from long. And finally with mix emotions, India has finally begged what seemed impossible. Mr. India 2016, Rohit Khandelwal wins the coveted title of Mr. World 2016 and has become the first Indian model ever to do that.

The event was organised at the Southport Theatre, The Promenade, Southport in England on 19^th July 2016. More than 45 contestants from different countries and continents participated in the contest. Along with the title, Rohit has also won $50000 as cash prize. After winning the title, Khandelwal said, “I feel so privileged and humbled to be Mr World 2016. I would like to thank all my fans and all the people who have been giving me all their blessings. It is only your love and support that has been my inspiration to win Mr World 2016. It has been an amazing journey to this point, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.”

As soon as the news was out, the social media platforms were flooded with greetings and wishes. The model himself took it down to the micro blogging site, twitter to extend his gratitude to all the people who have been supportive in his journey from no one to Mr. India and then to Mr. World. He tweeted, “Happy. Thanks to all who have been supporting. Thank you so much. ❤❤❤❤.”
