India being the second most populated country in the world faces problems in feeding every single individual every day-night. Where on one hand the government of the country has always been trying to put forward their best in eradicating poverty and malnutrition, NGOs in the country do their best as well. Where India ranks number 3 in the most obese countries in the world, it is also home to a large number of people who sleep with an empty stomach every night.

Not the government, but it is someone else who has taken an initiative step towards feeding the poor and needy- the Mumbia Dabbawalas. Yes you heard that right.

Isn’t the great? Well that’s not it. More than 400 Dabbawalas are working on this project. All you need to do is to schedule a pick up rest is all their work .The Dabbawalas will not only pick up the food from your given location but will also make sure that the food reaches the needy. The Dabbawalas are now thinking over ways to schedule a pick up even when the quantity of food is less. Also, they are setting up one member from the union at various local stations at all times where people can drop by and hand-over the leftovers so that it can reach the needy before it get ruined.

The Dabbawalas seriously need a bow for making out time out of their busy schedule and making this initiative a success.
