Rupee opens lower at 67.19 against US dollar

Rupee opens lower at 67.19 against US dollar. The Indian rupee on Monday morning after closing at 67.08$ on weekend opened lower by 11 paise at 67.19/$ against US Dollar.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is looking forward to meet the state finance ministers on GST and to discuss and decide on how to take the GST Bill in Rajya Sabha up this week.

The Indian currency ended higher by nine paise at 67.08/$. The local unit had hit a high of 67.18 and a low of 67.19. The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) reference rate for the dollar stood at 67.13 and for Euro stood at 74.03. The RBI’s reference rate for the Yen stood at 63.41; reference rate for the Great Britain Pound (GBP) stood at 88.9478.
