Well, who isn’t a fan for Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s chemistry on screen? With movies like Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Baazigar, Dilwale etc they have set a trade mark for romance in Bollywood movies. Their amazing chemistry has made it even more difficult for the young actors. Also, it’s a fact that Shah Rukh Khan is known as the king of romance but he pairs the best with Kajol. Isn’t it? Also we do not like Kajol with any other actor as much as we like her with Shah Rukh Khan. There is no doubt that SRK-Kajol is one of the best onscreen pairs of Bollywood. What also makes them so comfortable with each other is the fact that they are also great friends since decades. Wait Wait…this not exactly how it all began. Apparently, SRK was not fond of Kajol initially when they were working together for the first time and not just this he also did warn Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan about the same.
According to reports, the King Khan while recalling his initial days said, “When I was working with her (Kajol) in Baazigar, Aamir asked me about her as he wanted to work with her. I left him a message saying, ‘She is very bad, no focus, you will not be able to work with her’. And then I saw the rushes in the evening. I kept calling Aamir to clarify. I told him, ‘I don’t know what it is but she is magical on the screen’”.
When the actress was asked about it, she stated,“I remember Shah Rukh and other actors had a huge hangover when they came on the sets and I was jabbering away in Marathi to his make-up guy. They were like ‘what is that voice. It is going to split open our heads’. He was very grumpy but I kept chatting and finally he said, ‘Will you please shut up… chup ho jao’. I think that’s how we became friends.”
Well, can you even believe that? The two looked absolutely comfortable with each other and gave solid performances in Baazigar despite of their first impression of each other, but then they are actors. Although they had a bitter start, we are glad that they managed to be best friends and a great on-screen couple. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have acted in six films together and all are a hit, BIG HIT and so is their chemistry on-screen and off-screen.
