According to NDTV, gangster Goldy Brar, the alleged mastermind behind Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder in May, has been detained in the United States. Goldy Brar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, had recently relocated to the United States from Canada, where he had been based since 2017.
According to sources, the gangster was apprehended in California around November 20, and the Indian government has yet to receive an official statement from California.

Brar, who claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder in a Facebook post, reportedly fled to the United States under duress. He had been living in Fresno and had safe houses in Sacramento, Frizow, and Salt Lake.

According to reports, India’s spy agency Research And Analysis Wing (R&AW), the intelligence wing of the Delhi Police, and their counterparts in Punjab have received information that Goldy Brar’s arrest has caused quite a stir in California.

Sidhu Moose Wala’s father recently demanded that the government announce a 2 crore reward for any information on Goldy Brar.

Balkaur Singh stated at an event in Amritsar that he was willing to pay the reward out of his own pocket if the government was unable to provide the large sum.

Goldy Brar, a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, came to Canada on a student visa in 2017. According to police, he is also a key conspirator in the murder of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower last month.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, 28, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead in his SUV near his village in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29 – a day after the Punjab government reduced his security cover.

Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder, writing on Facebook that it was in retaliation for the murder of youth Akali leader Vicky Middukhera last year.
