Gujarat Elections 2022: 100-year-old Kamuben casts her vote in Umargram, elderly voters participated actively

100-year-old Kamuben Lalabhai Patel cast her vote at a polling booth in Umargam in Valsad district. At the same time, 104-year-old Gangaben, a resident of Sachin of Choryasi assembly, is one of the oldest voters in her assembly, who exercised her franchise today.

This time special arrangements have been made to take 80 to 100 year old voters to the polling booth in Gujarat elections. Interested elderly voters will be brought to the polling station and will also be sent back home after voting. If someone cannot come to the polling station, then the election officer will go to his house and provide him the facility to vote. For this a form has to be filled. 4.92% voting has happened in the first one hour of polling. The least turnout took place in Surat’s Katargam seat.

In the first phase, more than two crore voters will use their vote. The seats on which special attention will be given today are Jamnagar, Morbi, Kutch, Rajkot, Porbandar and Junagadh.
