A child has a special way adding joy to every day. They are a blessing upon us and they deserve all the love and care in the world. A child is like clay which will be made as it will be moulded. It is the responsibility of the parents, the teachers and the society to make the best of the child. Keeping in mind the importance of the children in the society and their significance, the government of Rajasthan under the leadership of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has launched several schemes which benefit the children of different age groups, especially the children who are born in the less fortunate categories i.e. SC and ST.

Following the same league, Smt. Vasundhara Raje on Thursday launched a new scheme for the children named Toy Bank Scheme with an aim to providing the small children of poor families with toys by visiting the Anganwadi centres. CM Raje inaugurated this scheme via videoconferencing in the Ajmer district of the state. This scheme is an initiative by the district administration here and CM Raje said other 32 districts of the state shall also take such initiatives.

District Collector Gaurav Goyal said, “A campaign to collect toys from the public has begun from today for which 10 to 15 centres have been established in the city. After collection of toys, those will be distributed to the 1,936 Anganwadi centres in the district.”

The toys are a way to attract the children to the Anganwadi centres where the children of the poor families are provided with health check-ups, medicines and free meals. Institutions volunteered themselves for donation. UCO Bank has launched toy stores on its 50 branches in Ajmer. Likewise,HDFC bank, Sophia College and Mayo College have also joined hands to standup for this humanitarian cause. Lions Club, Brahmakumari Ashram and Mahaveer International have bestowed toys for children. 2 vans have been offered by Hindustan Zinc to collect the plaything for poor babies. Ajmer has possessed 8 thousand toys till now and estimated to reach to fifty thousand in a month’s time.
