All India Muslim Personal Law Board UnFavours the Triple Talaq Petition

Triple Talaq

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board mentioned to Supreme Court that the practices of triple talaq which is “nikah halala”or polygamy cannot be continued as the issue is not conforming with the judiciary.

The validity of Mohammedan Law, which is founded on the Holy Quran cannot be complied with the particular provisions of the constitution. The Muslim body promptly mentioned that any order or new rule on their rights will be not be accepted and will be against their will.

Speaking against the filed petitions, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board mentioned that, the petitions are on the basis of false understanding of Personal Muslim Law. The next hearing of this sensitive issue will be arranged on March 30th.

Before this week, more than one million Muslims from around the country had filed the petition. They wanted to end this unacceptable divorce issue of triple talaq.

The petition was initiated with the support of Muslim Rashtriya Manch. This is an Islamic organization which is affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Petition’s positive response was attached to the Bhartiya Janta Party’s success in the UP elections.

Wanting to end this hazardous practice of triple talaq, many women put forward the petition in front of Supreme court. The Central govt. also spoke for this saying that, this is against the gender injustice. To bring the equality among masses under the Constitution, this is necessary.

For this, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board brought up very lame excuse saying that, “it is better to divorce a woman than kill her”.

Previous year, PM Narendra Modi had declared that, he clearly un-favours the “triple talaq” practice and “the lives of Muslim women cannot be allowed to be destroyed by triple talaq”.

He also pointed the opposition party for “politicizing” the issue and favouring the gender discriminatory practice to lure their vote banks.
