In an unfortunate incident in the Baramulla district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, two army men lost their lives.  A police official told, “Two Army men and a cop were killed, while three other security personnel were injured on Wednesday in a militant attack in Baramulla district of Kashmir. Militants ambushed an Army convoy at Khwajabagh in Baramulla at 2.30 am in which two soldiers were killed and two others were injured.”

“One policeman was also killed while another cop was injured as their vehicle also came under attack by the militants. A massive operation has been launched to track down the attackers, who fled the spot,” the official added.

Situations have been tensed in the Kashmir valley ever since the killing of Burhan Wani, the Hizbul Mujahideen commander. Protests have been erupting in the various districts of the state one after the other which have not only paraysed the daily lives of the residents but have also caused losses to business, property and lives. Despite of the hard efforts of the army and the state and central government, the violence has not stopped in the state but has rather increased.

“Since 9th July, their so-called leaders have maintained on prolonging protest. Even the areas even where there is no curfew, out of fear, the shops remain closed. I want to laud the state government for functioning effectively despite all the hurdles thrown in their way. I’m not saying that the situation is completely under control, but the state government is ensuring the daily lives of the people continue unhindered,” Rajnath had said in his statement in the Rajya Sabha earlier.

People only hope that everything gets calmed down as soon as possible and terrorism comes to an end in not only Kashmir but the entire nation.
