V G Siddharth cafe coffee day mastermind India goes missing: What we know so far

V G Siddhartha, the owner of the largest coffee chain in India, CCD and son-in-law of the former Karnataka CM SM Krishna has been missing since the Monday evening. He was last spotted getting off his car near the Netravati River in Mengaluru. 

The news has ignited various speculations around the world. The Dakshina Kannada Police department is carrying out serious investigation and search operation at the site he was last spotted. 

The news and speculation of him committing Suicide are also been circulated ever since. The driver reports that Siddhartha asked him to stop the car on the bridge near the Netravati River.

When he didn’t return for a long time, it drew the driver to panic and he informed the family. The Driver also reported that Siddhartha was on phone call when he got off the car. On the basis of this report, the police are suspecting that he might have jumped off the river and committed suicide.

His phone is switched off since the incidence. The massive search operation in the river has been forged but no progress has been traced till now.

BS Yediyurappa, the CM of Karnataka is monitoring the progress of investigation himself. He also visited the family at SM Krishna’s residence to share their sorrow.

The 58 years old V G Siddhartha has been into the news recently as there were rumours about his coffee retail business to be closed by the end of March 2020. The investigation department is leaving no stone unturned in collecting pieces of evidence and connecting threads that link Siddhartha’s missing.
