Vijendra Singh, the former amateur boxer from Haryana and the Indian professional boxer has always proved his skills and brought laurels to the nation. He has always made his selection count. The last time, the boxer fought in front of the home audience was in 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games and the time has come again when the Indian Boxer will fight in front of the Indian audience. Today, he takes on Australia’s Kerry Hope for the WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight belt. The audience will be able to catch Vijender Singh vs Kerry Hope at the Thyagaraj stadium.
Vijendra Singh said a day before, “It’s been a long time since I fought in front of the home crowd. Delhi’s weather is hot and there will be a lot of boxing tomorrow. I am excited.”

A win will ensure direct entry in top 15 and that’s when the show begins,” whereas, Hope, quickly replied, “that’s what we are after (the rankings). I have been there a few times but never had a chance to compete for the world title.”
Undoubtedly Hope here looked more confident. Kerry has a total of 4 knockouts in his name and seems very sure of stopping the Indian’s winning run. He said, “I have been there. I know how it’s like on home ground. When you can’t do what you want to, that is when you fall. Let the crowd cheer, he is not winning.”
