Who knew that Reliance Jio’s unlimited free voice calling and 3G/4G services will raise the stakes higher for other telecom operators in India. Aiming to seize Jio’s existing customer base, India’s number two telecom operator Vodafone has launched its powerful bundled pack ‘Vodafone Red’ that will give Reliance Jio a run for its money. This offer was introduced at a time when Reliance Jio had announced to extend its free services until the end of March.
Following services will be offered under Vodafone Red–
Vodafone Red Bundled Packs that are Valid, starting from Today
- 499: 1 GB non-4G data, 3 GB 4G data, 100 free text messages and unlimited voice calling (STD and local) across all networks for postpaid Vodafone numbers.
- 999: 8 GB 4G data, 5 GB non-4G data, 100 free text messages, free voice calling, free incoming on national roaming.
- 1299: Free outgoing, incoming voice calls on national roaming, unlimited voice calling with free 3G and 4G data services.
- 1999: The highest value pack on this list offers 24 GB free 4G data, 20 GB non-4G data, free outgoing on national roaming, unlimited local and STD voice calling.
If a consumer’s data consumption exceeds the data offered under different packages, an additional charge of 50p/MB will be levied on the internet pack.
By launching these powerful postpaid plans, Vodafone aims to acquire 200 million customers by the year end. They’ve introduced these bundled services because postpaid customers have high requirement for data and voice calling services. The Vodafone Red is an all-in-one plan that will fulfil all their requirements including text, mobile data, voice calling and roaming services.
Other than this, Vodafone India has improved its 4G services to offer better internet connectivity than Reliance Jio. They’ve also made a shift in its existing tariff plans to lure more customers for their prepaid plans.
As of now, the plan is available in all Indian states except Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.
