Transgenders have still not been equally treated in this cosmic world, where everybody their own vulnerabilities and outer demons. If life has been infused into a person, he is also a human being and must not be deprived of basic rights (save criticism and condemnation).
Social activists across the world are striving to bring about a change in the social fabric of our country and worldwide. Vicks, the FMCG company widely known for producing balm and inhaler for plummeting cough and cold launched a #TouchOfCare campaign directed towards portraying the goodness of cross-sexuals.
‘Touch of Care’ interwines two aspects: transgender equality and Adoption. These issues are like ‘Elephant in the room’; everybody knows about them but nobody talks.
This is a 3-minute video which imprints a stronger message on your mind. This is depiction of a real life-story which is as heart-wrenching as soul-parting. If the inequality with which transgenders are treated really irks you, then tear will trickle down your rights after watching this video:
Gauri Sawant is a transgender who adopts a sweet girl, named Gayatri. The video shows how Gayatri, at a very tender age of 6, loses her biological mother who is a sex worker to HIV AIDS.
Gayatri is then adopted by Gauri, who manifests all wishes for Gayatri. Conceptualised by Publicis Singapore for Procter & Gamble, this video spews tales of conviction and determination of an orphaned daughter to fight for rewarding her non-biological mother with equal rights.
“My Civics book says that everyone is entitled to basic rights. Then why is my mother denied them? That’s why I want to become a lawyer, not a doctor…for my mother,” questions Gayatri.
Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the Masaan fame, this film is successful in transmitting the intended message to all it’s viewers.
