Things you Need:

A coffee mug,
candle wax (you can shave old candles and melt then yourself, if you want),
aroma oil,
chopsticks,
candle wicks,
glass bowl,
big pot and
scotch tape.

Instructions:

  • Fill a pot with water up to half its volume and bring to boil. Put shaved wax flakes in a smaller glass bowl and place in the pot of boiling water. Heat the pots over medium-high heat until the wax melts.
  • Place the wick in the centre of your coffee mug. Keep it in place with the help of chopsticks (or pencil). Use a scotch tape to tape the sticks together. It’ll keep them in place.
  • Mix a few drops of aroma oils in wax and stir it nicely. Pour the molten wax into the mug. Be careful with the wick!
  • Leave the mug overnight for the wax to settle down inside.
  • Trim your candles with stars, hearts, sparkles and other knick knacks and there you have, a perfect Diwali gift!
