The vibrant ‘Rajasthan Festival’ will commence from March 27, i.e. today. The festival will be celebrated for four days at a stretch in the capital city, Jaipur. Organised by Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan will take place from 27 to 30 March.
The extravagant festival will be beautiful culmination of contemporary culture, mesmerising aesthetics and impeccable artform.
The Opening Ceremony on March 27 will begin at the SMS Stadium with the lighting of the Rajasthan Day Torch. Not only this, to promote the importance of sports in our lives, the officials have also scheduled the finals of the Rural Sports.
On the first day of the event, the audience will witness a marvelous aesthetic performance by the well known theatre director, Bhanu Bharti is all likely to take our breath away.
On 27 and 28 March, a Cycle Marathon by the Sports Department will be held at the SMS Stadium.
On March 28, ‘Jaipur Kathak Samaroh’ will be presented by Jaipur Kathak Kendra at the Central Park in association with the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA).
Following this, will be the most awaited theatre rendition which is all ‘The Theatre of E. Alkazi’ (Exhibition) will be displayed at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) from 27 March to 5 April. To amuse everybody, a Tattoo Show has also been organized at the event, which is presented by Border Security Force (BSF) and Rajasthan Police at the JDA Polo Ground.
A string of ‘Bhajans’, ‘Qawwalis’, ‘Gurbani’, ‘Vedic’ Chanting will become a part of this astounding festival, which will be organized in association with the Sanskrit Academy.
Something to cheer your children too, the festival will also host a Children’s Film Festival. Similarly, International Festival of Short Films on Culture & Tourism will be held at Indralok Auditorium.
March 29 is already raising the excitement level high. The day will host a world renowned Bangladeshi fashion designer, Bibi Russell, who will present a Heritage Fashion Show.
An exciting Air Fly-Past and Air Warrior Drill will be presented by the Indian Air Force (IAF). Furthermore, the Army Pageant will showcase Trick Riding, Massed Pipes and Drums Show. This will be held by the Indian army at the JDA Polo Ground.
To culminate the day on a beautiful note, bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan will perform at 7 pm at the mega-concert at the Albert Hall.
To mark the end of this breathtaking festival, an attractive Projection Mapping Show will be held at the Vidhansabha, Janpath. dedicated to the people of Rajasthan at the Vidhansabha, Janpath.
On 30 and 31 March, Gangaur nuances has also managed to seal a crucial place in the Festival’s schedule. The route of Gangaur processions will start from Tripoliya Gate to the Talkatora.
