Yes. Shasvathi Siva, a committed vegan, and her groom Karthik Krishnan tied a knot in the most eco-friendly wedding ever. Well, let us take you through an organic yet a pretty ride through the wedding pictures.
Both the bride and the groom and their respective families have immense love for animals and thus pets of the guests were invited too.
Instead of using regular flower decorations the couple chose cloth decoration as an alternative. Also, their garlands were not ordinary but were made of satin.
The bride ensured that even a special thing like make-up and mehendi must be natural and organic.
Edible cutlery replaced the regular plastic cups and plates.
As a return gift, the guests received vegetarian starter kit from PITA and organic toiletries.
All dairy products were banned and instead sweets made of dry fruits were given priority in the wedding. Also, the recycled newspapers brilliantly replaced the paper napkins.
To add on to the ‘eco-friendly’ environment, messages written on dry coconuts were displayed in the wedding.
