Search Engine company Google has introduced its new invasion in smartphone market with their fresh launch of their new flagship phone. With this launch, the global giant has rolled out the confirmation about their dominance in the smartphone market .
Google’s priority was to work with partners which can manufacture the products and then Google took the huge step to manufacture their own phones. The whole pixel is designed and tested by Google and now the company is running experiments with other devices as well and playing a prominent role in dominating the supply chain sourcing and deals.
Owning the launch of their flagship phone is massive chance taken by the company. With this they have many things in queue and can turn out to reap great benefits from this risk.
An analyst from Morgan Stanley observed that, this massive risk by Google may give the company a good benefit of at least $4 billion in the revenue in the year 2017. He also suspected that, sales of Pixel may be ripped between 5 to 6 million units by this year ends.
Apple collect around $137 billion in the form of revenue which diminishes Google’s estimation. But, being not a regular manufacturer, Google has ripped really fancy start for itself. This initiation can be tagged as good because the company does not own any manufacturing experience and set up like its competitors.
Morgan Stanley said it like, “People spend three times more money on iOS shopping apps than they do Android ones, but some of the Pixel’s features will help close this gap, according to the bank’s analysts.
Features unique to the Pixel, such as the Google Assistant, the Pixel camera, and Daydream (Google’s virtual reality headset, which works with the Pixel), plus the smartphone’s deeper app integration, increased prominence of Android Pay, and improved computing power (compared to other Android devices), will ultimately lead to users spending more money on Android, according to the research note.”
