Femina Miss India is a beauty pageant that has been continuing since 1947. The pageant selects representatives for the international beauty pageants every single year. The former Miss India winners crown the new winners in the finale. A batch of girls from all over the country is selected to fight for the ultimate title. The selected girls are groomed and trained by the experts of the industry. The pageant is conducted by the popular women’s magazine, Femina, published by the Times Group.
The three beautiful winners of 2016 are announced in a event which was organised at the Yash Raj Studios on Saturday Night. Guwahati girl Priyadarshini Chatterjee won the coveted crown of FBB Femina Miss India World 2016 followed by the first runner up from Mumbai Sushruthi Krishna and Pankhuri Gidwani from Uttar Pradesh as the second runner up of the title. The three winners were selected from a bunch of beautifully talented girls from all around the country after a number of judging rounds. The gorgeous ladies will now represent the country at various international pageants. Priyadarshini will move her steps forward towards the coveted Miss World 2016 beauty pageant and Sushruthi Krishna and Pankhuri will represent the country at Miss International 2016 and Miss Grand International 2016 respectively.
On the judging panel they had stars like Sanjay Dutt, Amy Jackson, Ekta Kapoor, popular designer Manish Malhotra, Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna, Sania Mirza, Yami Gautam, Shane Peacock, Arjun Kapoor and Kabir Khan. The event also witnessed performances by Shahid Kapoor, Sunidhi Chauhan, Varun Dhawan, Badshah, Jacqueline Fernandez and Tiger Shroff.
Let us tell you for the grand ceremony all the contestants were beautifully dressed in gowns designed by Anju Modi, Falguni and Shane Peacock and Namrata Joshipura. The evening was hosted by the popular film-maker Karan Johar and the noted host turned actor Manish Paul.
