Modi government has given a green signal to the military forces to implement a 5-layer lock at Pakistan border. Reason being the precautionary method to be well prepared in order to prevent attacks like Pathankot in the future and make sure nothing of that sort to happen. Even acts of smuggling can be monitored properly with this new and 5 times stronger security plan. The projected ‘Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System’ (CIBMS) will guarantee 24x7x365 surveillance of the border through technology. Also it will supposedly curtail infiltration on the 2,900-km western border with Pakistan reported Time of India.

Facts state that, “The government has proposed to install CCTV cameras, thermal image and night-vision devices, battlefield surveillance radar, underground monitoring sensors and laser barriers along the western border running from J&K to Gujarat” As mentioned earlier, the security implementation will be entirely technology based and no need of human interference will be required.

“The cost will be well worth it.”, sources told the news channels. Reportedly the government’s strategy is to cover the complete border with “technological surveillance” in a 2 years stretch.
