The Indian edition of the Entrepreneur Magazine has ranked the Kochi StartUp Village as the top most incubator startup in India.
It was on Friday that the Entrepreneur Magazine released its report after point to point analysis of certain prescribed criteria. It included the gradual growth of the new incubator startups, their success in acquiring funds, their duration in achieving a stable status and their fund-equity.
It was Kochi Startup Village which won all the tests and analysis to become the best startup incubator in India.
Kris Gopalakrishnan, the co-founder of Infosys the head mentor of Kochi Startup Village said, “It is a great honour for Kochi Startup Village to be named the country’s best incubator just as it gears up for even bigger challenges in its search for a billion dollar campus startup.”
Whereas the head of National S&T Entrepreneurship Development Board, H.K Mittal said, “The PPP model of Startup Village gives its tremendous ability to create deeper impact and it has been changing the whole culture of student entrepreneurship across the nation.”
Startup Village chairman Sanjay Vijayakumar also had some very positive words for this Kochi startup village. He said, “SV.CO is the next big iteration of Startup Village, to give a world class student startup ecosystem to around five million engineering students in India, who will build the future of our nation. Our success in first phase was due to the support from public and private sector partners.”
