Marshmallow: The Latest version of Android

The sweet treat Google has shared with all, the latest version of Operating system for Android is making news for all the right reasons. After launching the Android versions like Lollipop(5.0), KitKat (4.0), Jellybean (4.1) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0), its time to savor some marshmallows. Yes, you read it right, this is the new API 23 which is officially named – Marshmallow.

The product manager Jamal Eason wrote on the Android Blog, “Whether you like them straight out of the bag, roasted to a golden brown exterior with a molten center, or in fluff form, who doesn’t like marshmallows?” Yes, we love marshmallows and especially now, more than ever, we feel the need to indulge in this fluffy sweet. The video showcases what Google’s connection is with sugary naming and how they decide on them.

The final android 6.0 SDK is now available in android studio via SDK manager. You now have access to final API and all the latest tools so that you can now target API 23 with Android  6.0 SDK. With latest features in the Android new version 6.0, one can term this as good news. Android 6.0 features like fingerprint support and Doze Power Saving Mode, there is all new feature of a new permission model. This will streamline the app installation and update process as needed, and he permission behavior has been enhanced in this version of Google Android.

The consumer launch will most likely be in fall (October or November), which will support users phone with all new Marshmallowlatest Android version 6.0. For all those developers, you can download the preview SDK and start testing your apps, while we head out for some marshmallows!
