#MeToo: Akshay Kumar Cancels Housefull 4 Shoot; Sajid Khan Steps Down As Film’s Director

The Twitter is going viral with #MeToo and other women harassment-confessing campaigns since Tanushree Dutta surfaced her harassment claim against Nana Patekar.

Amonsgt these allegations and claims going on, Akshay Kumar took the leap and decided to take a step. This is what he said. Look at his tweet.

He said he is disturbed by hearing all this. He said this while he returned from his Italy trip to the country. He announced that he has canceled the shoot for Housefull 4.

Sajid Khan was levelled allegations by against journalist Karishma Upadhyay made a revelation of sexual misconduct against him which was followed by more allegations by actresses Saloni Chopra and Rachel White.

A source close to the development said: “Akshay is known to be a disciplinarian and has never cancelled a shoot in his 28-year career. This is the first time that he has decided to cancel a shoot, perhaps because the #Metoo movement just cannot be ignored. The allegations made against Sajid Khan and Nana Patekar are both serious and grave in nature.”

Sajid Khan has stepped down as the director until he is able to rubbish the allegations. The movie has already been shot for 70% in the lands of London and Jaisalmer.

Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna also took to Twitter to express what she feels. She wrote: “Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through. Everyone involved in Housefull needs to take a firm stance on this issue. This cannot go on.”

Till date,  Nana Patekar, Sajid Khan, Vivek Agnihotri, Subhash Kapoor, Chetan Bhagat, Rajat Kapoor, and many more have been accused of sexual harassment by women.
