Mesmerizing, Masterful, Majestic, Just like you“. This is what the invitation cards to upcoming Motorola Moto M Launch read. Lenovo-owned Motorola, which was highly appreciated for its G and Z Play series is back in the limelight now. The company has started sending invites to their forthcoming launch scheduled on December 13 in Mumbai, where it plans to unveil its affordable Moto M smartphone.

Yes, it’s the same phone that went on sale for $290 in China last month. Seeing the declining business of Chinese items amidst escalating Indo-Pak-China tension, Lenovo plans to sell it for around Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000.

According to technology critics, Motorola M is nothing similar to Moto Z or Moto M series. However, it’s slightly similar to Moto G4 Plus, with minute changes. After the phone was released in our neighbouring country, happy reviewers have shared its features. Brand new Moto M is said to have:

  • Typical metal body with curvy edges and antenna lines marking the top and bottom borders,
  • Crystal clear 5.5 inch screen protected by 2.5D curved glass,
  • 4 GB RAM and 32 GB in-built storage (plus an expandable memory of 256 GB),
  • Dual cameras: 8MP on the front and 16MP on the back with dual tone flash, f/2.0 aperture for sharp photography,
  • 4G LTE for swift internet browsing,
  • 3050 mAh battery,
  • Turbo charging technology that facilitates quick charging,
  • Fingerprint scanner on the rear surface for added security,
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow (though we don’t know if it’s upgradable or not).

What’s the new Moto M price? Hopefully, it’s Rs. 18,000 if we go by the current rumours. However, we can’t say it for sure.

According to critics, it’ll be difficult for Motorola to pitch this gadget since better phones like Moto Z Play are already available in the market within Rs. 30,000. Nevertheless, as the Chinese are losing their share in Indian economy, they’ll try to get back in game by launching reasonably priced products in future. As of now, we can’t predict its performance in the Indian market. We’ll have to wait for its launch.
