Narendra Modi’s biopic has got Vivek Oberoi and Paresh Rawal in a verbal spat of sorts. Read details

The trailer of the controversial movie “Accidental Prime Minister” has created quite a stir, not only in the Bollywood landscape but also the political space, for obvious reasons.

Before the public could actually digest the news of a politically inclined movie, it was flooded with the news of another one. The new flick to join the league is a biopic of Narendra Modi.

The announcement of this film was made yesterday in Mumbai at a press conference with Mumbai’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Quite ironic and hard to digest is the name of the actor who has agreed to play the role of Narendra Modi in the biopic – it is no one else but Vivek Oberoi. The biopic is being directed by Omung Kumar.  The film is being produced by Oberoi’s father Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Singh.

I know you can’t digest, but I think some laughter can help in that. Here are some of the trending memes which caught our attention.

With this news coming to the fore, there was another major shocking revelation. After the release of the poster, actor Paresh Rawal spoke up and revealed that nobody else can do justice to the biopic than me. He thereby announced another biopic of PM Narendra Modi, in which he is the protagonist: “We are just locking the script and hopefully it will finish soon, and we will begin to shoot it in September or October (2018).”

When Asian Age contacted Rawal for his comment, he said, “I still maintain that nobody can play Modi other than me. I can do complete justice to the role. However, it’s a free country and even Vivek can play that role. I wish him luck.”

“What I can do with that film, nobody else can. Let anybody do what they want to, we are also coming out soon,” he added.
