As soon as Anil Kumble, the former Indian captain and cricketer was selected by BCCI (Board of Cricket Council Of India) as the new coach of the Indian Cricket Team, he has started working like one. Anil Kumble has always been known for his great dedication and discipline towards his sport and he wants the young cricketers to follow the same. He is not only preparing the boys for the coming up challenges but is also putting in his best efforts to teach them the most valuable lessons which are must to succeed not only in the game of cricket but in life as well. Kumble has laid down some important rules which are to be followed by all the players and if not timely followed will be charged a fine as decided by the coach himself. He says that he wants to keep the focus of the players straight on the game and thus strict rules were needed. To begin with, Kumble has directed the men in blue to catch the bus on time or else they will have to bear a fine of $5 every time they get late for the bus. Kumble said, “As a coach, all I sought was organised preparations for the team and informed inputs to the captain and the team to strategise better. Inclusive of every player. You have to include every player.”
Next, the new coach has scheduled a scuba dive for the players which will rejuvenate their mind and body and will make them all fresh to adapt the new rules planned by coach Kumble. He believes that each individual collectively forms the team and undoubtedly the team is higher than the individuals. He is doing what he is supposed to be. He not only wants the players to be disciplined but also to be fit physically and mentally to face all the future endeavours. Anil Kumble is trying to play every right card to make his appointment as the new coach of the Indian Cricket Team count.
