When there is a will, there is a way : Rajasthan CM quoted while presenting progressive report to Governor Kalyan Singh

“Coming together is the beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success,” the indomitable Chief Minister of Rajasthan said while quoting Henry Ford, “Every Challenge is Acceptable For State’s Development.”

Raje is keen on progressing  the state development through collaborative cooperation and unwavering dedication. She also posed confidence that the State Assembly, the Opposition and the People of the Rajasthan would join hands with her.

On Thursday, Raje addressed the State assembly while replying to the debate on Vote of Thanks to the Governor’s Address.

In the governor’s speech, the Governor not only listed the state government’s achievements of past one year, but also praised the efforts made by Team Rajasthan during past three years.

 Raje’s noteworthy steps in Jhunjhunu, despite unfavourable vote banks.

CM also highlighted that equal attention and resources have been allocated to all states and districts. In the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, the Rajasthan CM initiated a drive of development.

As a matter of fact, Jhunjhunu has favoured Congress by according it victory for 11 times, however BJP has only seen victory twice.

She pioneered the macro-scaled water drinking project worth Rs. 624 crore to ensure constant water supply in the drought-struck areas of the state. Not only this, the district dwellers were also given respite from the menace of fluoride content in water.

Comparative charts depict a favourable picture

As far as spendings are concerned, the previous government spent only 23.74 crore rupees in five years, while her government has spent a whopping 24.27 crore rupees in just three years. These spending are indeed tangible in the form of unprecedented developments happing in the state.

Battery of developments in span of 3 years

CM Raje also highlighted a myriad of developments which the state has embraced over the past three years. A renewed breeze of developments entered into the state and have manifested impressive results unabatedly. Major impetus has been given to girl child education and Women empowerment. A list of few prominent developments are:

  1. Bhamashah Yojana: strengthening digital payments and cushioning women empowerment
  2. Jal Swawlamban Yojana: supply and distribution of clean water.
  3. Opening of Kendra Vidyalaya
  4. Distribution of two-wheelers to meritorious girl students
  5. Scholarship awards to girls for promote girl education
  6. Setting up Maharana Pratap Police Battalion to bolster security in Nawalgarh, Osian, Banswara among others.
  7. Separate service cadre for TSP region
  8. Education impartment through new senior secondary schools and colleges at Panchayat headquarters
  9. Construction of Gramin Gaurav Path
  10. Surge in happiness Index of State

Settling Community Reservation demands

Raje said that earnest attempts had been made to resolve the issues of reservation to the Special Backward Classes, Other Backward Classes and the Jat Community in Bharatpur-Dholpur region. Separate committees were constituted to encompass and study these matters of reservation. These committees were helmed by Justices SK Garg, Anoop Goyal and Jitendra Goyal respectively.

Drop in crop damages, big relief for farmers

CM Raje appreciated the meaningful contributions by 55000 farmers who actively participated in the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM), which has proved to b e turning point in the history of Rajasthan agriculture.  In the backdrop of GRAM, Raje claimed that the limit of crop damages to be compensated has plummeted from 50% to 33% under the National Disaster Relief Fund.

This accomplishment by Raje government was praised by not only the masses including the farmers community but also the Hon’ble Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister informed that Per Capita Income (PCI) would portrays the economic and social condition of any state. The PCI of Rajasthan more than doubled from 27,000 rupees in year 2013-14 to Rs 57,000 rupees for the year 2015-16.

How will loans be repaid, despite inheritance of improper state treasury in 2013

Raje also chided the former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for leaving the state’s treasury in an indecorous condition. The Raje government inherited a debt of 80,000 crore rupees on the power distribution companies from the previous government, for which 8,000 crore rupees were being paid as yearly interest. However, the mounting financial pressure on farmers provoked the Raje government to withdraw increased power tariffs. The government took the charge of repaying DISCOM’s and thereby loaded onto itself a burden of Rs. 8500 which will now be repaid  by the government.

The previous government gave only 9,000 crore rupees as subsidy for power during its tenure of five years, against which her government allocated 24,000 crore rupees towards subsidy for just three years. Raje claimed that this is the highest subsidy paid by any state government in the country.

After the CM’s address, Motion of Thanks to the Governor was passed with a voice vote in the house.
