Rajasthan: Land-deprived families to be benefitted under the ‘Patta’ scheme initiated by Raj. chief minister

The phenomenal Patta Abhiyan initiated by the Rajasthan government a few days back has receiving an astounding response from poor sections of society including BPL families and ‘Banjara’ community.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje curated this priceless concept of allotting ‘Pattas’ (land lease documents) to the land-deprived families of farmers. She had announced this scheme on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar which was celebrated across the country on April 14.

The state had held 950 camps which was attended by more than 25,000 landless families. The scheme will engender houseless families to live respectful lives in their own homes allotted by the government. Close to 25,050 families have already become beneficiaries of this scheme, which received a thumping  response from those eligible to apply for benefit from this scheme.

Benefits statistics for the scheme

Until April 20, 1789 applications had been received from the below poverty line (BPL) families. Out of these, 1578 families have been transferred the benefit of scheme. At the ‘Pandit deendayal Upadhyaya Jan Kalyan Shivir’, 7,772 ‘patte’ have been allotted to Banjaras (who have no fixed place of residence). On the same lines, 686 land-deprived people have already become beneficiaries of this scheme. Old properties have also been allotted ‘pattas’ in compliance with various rules and regulations. 1916 families have been allotted ‘patta’ for lands they have been living on for 2003.

Scheme to end on July 12

This scheme will continue till July 12 to ensure that more and more people are covered under the benefit mask. On July 12, this scheme will complete it’s 90 days and will be ceased from existence. Adequate promotion and awareness programs have been run for this scheme, so that even the last man in the lane is apprised about the scheme and the benefit it promises.

In the 90-day period, camps will be conducted in various Panchayats on every Monday and Thursday.
