Samsung, the leading telecommunications multinational company has unveiled the new Galaxy Note 7 smart phone at its Galaxy Note Unpacked 2016 event on Tuesday held simultaneously in New York, Rio de Janeiro and London. The all new Galaxy Note 7 will be available from August 19 onwards, and will be offered in amazing colors like Blue Coral, Silver Titanium, Gold Platinum and Black Onyx. So far so no information regarding the price of the smart phone has been revealed by the company
The biggest underline of the Galaxy Note 7 is its iris scanner which is a feature that has been introduced to Samsung smart phones for the first time ever. Though, such a feature has been previously used on the Galaxy Tab Iris Tablet, but not on any smart phone. The Galaxy Note 7 features the S Pen stylus, which is now all new and improved.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is water and dust resistant with IP68 certification. The South Korean company says, “The new Galaxy Note 7 comes with Samsung Knox security suite with bio metric authentication that includes both the iris scanning feature and the fingerprint scanner. Also new is the Secure Folder feature, which is meant to keep private information safe. It is an upgrade over the Private Mode that the company previously offered that hid files but was limited to a few apps. The new Secure Folder stores files as well as entire apps in a secure location.”

Samsung says, “The wireless charging is compatible with WPC and PMA. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5GHz), GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, 3G, and USB Type-C. The smart phone also supports LTE and is compatible with LTE Cat.12, LTE Cat.10, and LTE Cat.9. The LTE compatibility may differ by markets and mobile operators. The smart phone also supports the Samsung Pay system, with both NFC and MST support.”
Samsung added, “The all-new iris recognition technology on the Galaxy Note 7 will be also utilized to authenticate purchases made through Samsung Pay. The new Note smart phone will come with Game Pack, which is also available through Google Play, and included top game titles.”
