Ace actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma stunned the audience at the Manish Malhotra Mijwan Summer2017 show.
The show started out with a bang on shayari series which mesmerized the audience. Popularly known as Manish’s muse and best friend, Sridevi rocked the stage, while Huma Qureshi , Diana Penty among other gorgeous ladies set the stage on fire.
Imtiaz Ali’s Rehnuma which features both Anushka and ShahRukh was doing the rounds at the show. The duo wore colour coordinated Manish Malhotra ensembles and charmed the audience with their jaw-dropping looks and enviable couture.
Shah Rukh looked uber royal in black and white checkered chinkankari sherwani with intricate thread work while Anushka looked majestic in an delicately embroidered white lehenga and a glittery feathered blouse. She emitted a jovial aura on the ramp.
On being asked on how he feels for Karan Johar’s surrogacy twins Roohi and Yash, King Khan spelled out: “It’s a personal moment. Let’s respect the privacy. Of course we all are very happy.”
Ace designer Manish Malhotra even took to Instagram to express his vote of thanks to both actors. He wrote, “A #Memorable End to a #Spectacular #Show @iamsrk @anushkasharma #MijwanSummer2017 #manishmalhotralabel #manishmalhotraworld @mmalhotraworld (sic).”
Mijwan Summer 2017 is notably a fundraiser charity show presented by Shabana Azmi and Naresh Goyal’s daughter Namrata . It was named after a village in Uttar Pradesh, NGO Mijwan Welfare Society. Interestingly, it was founded by Shabana’s late father Kaifi Azmi who launched it for engendering employment opportunities for women. It also aimed at reviving the art of chikankari embroidery.
